You'll be joining Companion Care Winchester, a locally owned small animal practice with a reputation for high standards and a close-knit team. This is a full-time role offering varied, interesting work with no out-of-hours commitments, just one in four Saturday mornings (9am to 5pm). The practice sees a steady mix of routine consultations (scheduled at 15 minutes as standard, with longer slots where needed), routine surgery, and same-day emergency appointments, all supported by a skilled nursing team of 7 RVNs and a student nurse.
You'll be working alongside Finn, the practice owner and vet with a special interest in surgery, plus two other experienced vets including a certificate holder in medicine. The practice is designed for rewarding work, equipped to a very high standard with three consult rooms, a large prep area, isolation ward, and dedicated colleague facilities including a kitchen and separate office space.
Located in the charming city of Winchester on the edge of the South Downs National Park, the practice sits just a short walk from the train station, with excellent local amenities nearby.

The practice is led by Finn, a vet with special interests in surgery, and supported by a team of experienced clinical and non-clinical staff.
