Receptionist

About the Role

You'll be the first point of contact for pet owners during emergency situations, welcoming clients, handling calls, and managing the administrative and financial side of their visits. This part-time role works Monday and Friday evenings from 19:00 to 23:00, plus a fair share of bank holidays, giving you the flexibility to balance other commitments.

Vets Now Cheltenham is part of the UK's leading emergency and critical care provider, operating 60+ out-of-hours clinics and two 24/7 pet emergency hospitals. You'll be supporting a dedicated team delivering compassionate care when pets need it most.

Key Responsibilities

• Answer emergency calls and greet clients, providing calm and professional first contact
• Relay clinical information between reception and the veterinary team about patients en route or clients needing assistance
• Manage administrative tasks accurately and handle financial transactions
• Support the smooth running of the clinic during busy evening shifts

Requirements

• No formal qualifications stated as required
• Professional communication skills and ability to remain calm under pressure
• Basic administrative competency
• Availability to work Monday and Friday evenings 19:00 to 23:00
• Flexibility to cover bank holidays as required
