Receptionist - Saturdays

About the Role

You'll be the first point of contact during pet emergencies at Vets Now Wolverhampton, one of the UK's leading out-of-hours and emergency care providers. This Saturday-only role offers genuine flexibility for people juggling other commitments, with shifts from 12:00-18:00 or 18:00-00:00. You'll work at the front desk during peak weekend demand, greeting anxious owners, answering emergency calls, and keeping the clinical team updated on patient arrivals and status.

Vets Now operates 60+ dedicated out-of-hours clinics and two 24/7 pet emergency hospitals across the country. The Wolverhampton location is part of this trusted network, so you'll be part of something bigger, even in a part-time role.

Key Responsibilities

• Answer emergency calls and greet clients, providing reassurance and vital information at a stressful time
• Manage financial transactions accurately and efficiently
• Relay real-time updates to the veterinary team about incoming patients and client needs
• Handle administrative duties to keep the clinic running smoothly
• Support the wider ECC team during busy weekend periods

Requirements

• No specific qualifications stated; a passion for animal care and calm communication under pressure is essential
• Ability to work Saturdays consistently (12:00-18:00 or 18:00-00:00 shift)
• Willingness to cover bank holidays
• Reliable, organised, and comfortable with financial administration
