Receptionist

About the Role

You'll be the first friendly face clients encounter when they bring their pets to Vets Now Stoke during emergency situations. This part-time position runs every Wednesday from 18:00 to 23:00, plus a fair share of bank holidays. Working within one of the UK's leading emergency pet care providers, you'll support a dedicated team that handles over 1700 veterinary practices across the country and operates 60+ out-of-hours clinics plus two 24/7 pet emergency hospitals.

This is a welcoming environment where you'll make a real difference during stressful moments for pet owners, offering reassurance and clear communication between clients and veterinary professionals.

Key Responsibilities

• Serve as the initial point of contact for clients during emergency visits, greeting them warmly and answering calls
• Book appointments accurately and handle financial transactions
• Manage administrative duties to ensure smooth clinic operation
• Provide updates to veterinary staff about patients en route or clients requiring assistance
• Act as a liaison between clients and the clinical team, offering support and information when needed most

• Professional, calm demeanor in high-pressure emergency situations
• Strong communication and customer service skills
• Ability to manage administrative tasks accurately
• Flexibility to work Wednesday evenings and bank holidays
