About the Role

This is a Sunday-only position at Vets Now Staines, one of the UK's leading emergency and critical care providers. Working every Sunday from 08:00 to 14:00, plus a fair share of bank holidays, you'll be the first point of contact for pet owners arriving at the clinic during emergencies. It's a focused, manageable shift pattern ideal for those seeking flexibility without full-time commitment.

You'll be part of a highly skilled emergency team dedicated to delivering compassionate care when pets need it most. Vets Now operates over 60 out-of-hours clinics and two 24/7 pet emergency hospitals across the UK, serving more than 1700 veterinary practices. Your role is integral to ensuring smooth operations during some of the most stressful moments for pet owners.

Key Responsibilities

• Serve as the initial point of contact for clients, greeting them and answering calls in emergency situations, whether in-person or by phone
• Book appointments and handle financial transactions accurately
• Manage administrative duties in the clinic to ensure smooth service operation
• Provide updates to veterinary staff about patients arriving or clients requiring assistance
• Offer friendly, reassuring support to clients during stressful situations
• Act as a liaison between clients and the veterinary team

Requirements

• Strong communication skills and ability to remain calm under pressure
