Veterinary Nurse

About the Role

This part-time Veterinary Nurse role is based in Northampton and focuses on emergency and critical care. The rota is 3 shifts on and 5 shifts off, with shifts running from 19:00 to 09:00, plus a fair share of bank holidays.

You will be part of a nursing team that sits at the centre of clinical treatment, with work covering triage, surgery, anaesthesia and in-patient care. The clinic has been providing local emergency care since 2005 and holds RCVS Small Animal Emergency Service Clinic accreditation.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide first aid advice over the phone and deliver first aid care in clinic.
• Support critical care through monitoring major body systems and tracking changes in in-patient trends.
• Carry out physiotherapy, pain assessment, wound care and dressing care.
• Perform basic diagnostic procedures with confidence in a sole charge capacity.

Requirements

• RCVS registration for a minimum of six months.
• Interest in maintaining high clinic standards.
• Passion for caring for clients and their pets.
• ECC caseload experience is advantageous.
