About the Role

You'll join Longton Vets4Pets, a recently expanded small animal practice in Staffordshire with newly relocated, state-of-the-art facilities across two floors. This is a full-time role working both early and late shifts, including 1 in 4 Saturday mornings (9am to 12pm), but with a genuine perk: no OOH, no overnight in-patient checks, and no Sundays or bank holidays.

The practice has grown significantly since its establishment in 2009, and you'll be joining a team of 3 practice owners (including 2 RVNs), 3 further vets, 5 other RVNs, a physiotherapist, and a strong front-of-house team. You'll work alongside colleagues in a collaborative environment where your ideas and passion for animals genuinely make a difference.

Key Responsibilities

• Deliver high-standard nursing care across a modern practice with digital radiography, ultrasound, in-house laboratory facilities, surgical and dental suites
• Support the rehabilitation and physiotherapy department, which includes an underwater treadmill and hydrotherapy facilities
• Provide excellent customer service in a warm, professional setting
• Contribute to a practice that keeps the majority of procedures in-house, ensuring high standards of care
• Work flexibly across early and late shifts, with Saturday morning availability

Requirements

• Registered Veterinary Nurse qualification
• Good general nursing experience
• Excellent customer service skills
• Cheerful, down-to-earth, and enthusiastic demeanour
• Genuine passion for animal welfare

Established in 2009, Longton Vets4Pets is a thriving small animal practice that has recently undergone rapid expansion. The practice relocated to a state-of-the-art facility spanning 4,500 square feet across two floors, featuring digital radiography, ultrasound, in-house laboratory facilities, and dedicated surgical and dental suites. The team also operates a CT scanner and accepts external referrals, alongside an in-house rehabilitation department run by a physiotherapist, complete with hydrotherapy and physiotherapy services including an underwater treadmill.
