About the Role

This is a fantastic opportunity to join Bracknell Vets4Pets, a purpose-built practice committed to delivering the highest clinical standards. You'll work flexible hours on a full-time or part-time basis, with Saturday rotas shared fairly on a 1:3 basis and no Sunday or bank holiday commitments. The team prioritises work-life balance, managing the diary to ensure vets aren't overloaded while maintaining excellent patient care.

The practice has a loyal client base with genuine scope for growth, and you'll be encouraged to develop any specialist interests, with certification fully funded. The facility is exceptionally well-equipped for in-house surgery and diagnostics, and you'll have access to visiting orthopaedic and ophthalmology specialists. The team culture is warm and collaborative, with a shared commitment to continuous learning and trialling new approaches to patient care.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide general small animal surgical and medical care, including stem cell and PRP intra-articular injections
• Perform dental, orthopaedic, and general surgical procedures using the practice's comprehensive equipment
• Work collaboratively with the existing team (Practice Owner Kirsty, experienced clinician Georgina, and part-time clinician Ana) to deliver high-quality diagnostics and case management
• Develop and pursue areas of clinical interest with support and full funding for relevant certifications
• Contribute to a culture of continuous improvement and learning, sharing CPD knowledge with the team
• Provide excellent client communication and personalised customer service from initial phone contact through case completion

Requirements

• Current RCVS registration as a veterinary surgeon
• Experienced level clinician (source indicates seeking experienced vet)
• Strong surgical and medical knowledge
• Ability to work flexibly and collaboratively within a team environment
• Commitment to high clinical standards and continued professional development

About the Practice

Bracknell Vets4Pets is a purpose-built small animal practice within the Vets4Pets network (part of Pets at Home). The practice is led by Kirsty, the Practice Owner, who is 15 years qualified with a surgical certificate and expertise in regenerative medicine and chronic pain management. The team includes Georgina, an experienced clinician, and Ana, who works part-time as an all-rounder.

The surgery is exceptionally well-equipped with syringe drivers, drip pumps, multi-parameter monitoring, capnography, doppler, suction, diathermy, in-house blood analysis, PRP machine, dental radiography (Nomad), tonopen, and ultrasound. The practice works on most cases in-house and has regular visiting specialists in orthopaedics and ophthalmology. Located on the Peel Centre Retail Park with free parking and easy access to The Lexicon dining and shopping area, the practice combines clinical excellence with a genuinely supportive workplace culture.
