1 in 4 Saturday rota; no OOH, no Sundays, no bank holidays
This is a full-time position with genuine flexibility. The practice actively welcomes reduced-hours arrangements, such as 9am to 3pm three days a week, to fit around your other commitments. You'll work no out-of-hours shifts and enjoy weekends free except for a manageable 1 in 4 Saturday rota, which may occasionally involve sole charge work.
Sunderland sits a short distance from the stunning North East coastline, with excellent transport links including metro stations, the A19, A1, airport, and main train stations. You'll join a progressive, forward-thinking general practice that actively encourages clinical development and professional growth while prioritising colleague wellbeing, with mental health first aiders on site.
Led by practice owners Rachel and Claire, this is a progressive general practice with a varied caseload and clinical freedom. The team comprises 5 veterinary surgeons, 12 RVNs, 4 SVNs, and experienced receptionists across two Sunderland locations. The nursing team is highly motivated and holds multiple post-qualification credentials in Emergency and Critical Care, Infection Control, Feline Friendly Nursing, and Dermatology.
The practice is a proud holder of the ISFM and RAW silver awards, Dog Friendly Practice award, Vets4Pets graduate practice of the year award, and is working towards the Zero Pain Certificate. As part of the wider Vets4Pets network, you'll benefit from additional support and resources beyond the practice itself.
