Teletriage Veterinary Surgeon

About the Role

VidiVet is seeking experienced veterinary surgeons to join their remote teletriage team. This is a fully home-based, part-time role where you'll work flexible shifts of 2-3 hours, managed through a digitally organised 24/7 rota that you control. You'll be the voice supporting pet owners and practice teams through the triage process, using your clinical expertise to ask the right questions and gather the right information.

Based in Liverpool but working entirely remotely (UK or worldwide), this role suits vets seeking flexibility without the traditional practice structure. You'll join a supportive community of fellow teletriage vets, all working towards VidiVet's mission of breaking down barriers to brilliant animal care.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct telephone triage consultations with pet owners, gathering clinical history and identifying urgent cases
• Communicate findings clearly to support practice teams' decision-making
• Work within the triage scope (assessment and information gathering only; no prescribing or diagnosis)
• Maintain professional standards and excellent communication throughout each call
• Manage your own availability through the flexible digital rota system

Requirements

• UK resident or right to work in the UK
• Current RCVS practising status
• Minimum 5 years small animal clinical practice experience
• Own indemnity insurance with adequate cover (VidiVet will discuss options if you need to arrange this)
• Smartphone no more than 3 years old
• Outstanding communication skills and genuinely caring approach to pet owners
