No routine night shifts or on-call required. Dedicated night team covers 24/7 in-house care. Optional occasional night shifts available for those interested in emergency work development.
Wallace Vets is seeking a dedicated Registered Veterinary Nurse to join their growing independent practice across three branches in Broughty Ferry, Carnoustie, and Arbroath. This is a hands-on clinical role where you'll work with a warm, experienced team of 60 that has maintained a genuine family feel despite significant growth since 2004. You'll have flexibility in your working week (3, 4, or 5 days), with only 1-in-8 weekend cover required and no routine nights or on-call unless you choose to get involved in emergency work.
You'll rotate across all three branches, ensuring no two weeks are the same, and enjoy genuine freedom to pursue your clinical interests whether that's Schedule 3 procedures, emergency and critical care, surgical nursing, behaviour, or nutrition. With supportive nurse leadership and a clinical manager dedicated to your development, this practice actively encourages nurses to run their own clinics and pursue further training.
Dundee has been named Scotland's sunniest city and one of Europe's top destinations by Lonely Planet. You'll be minutes from beaches, hills, and the River Tay, and just 20-30 minutes from outdoor pursuits including paddleboarding, hiking, and the Glens. It's also significantly more affordable than other parts of Scotland.
