Ready for a role where you're genuinely valued as a clinical professional? Join Wallace Vets, an independent practice where flexible scheduling, clinical variety, and real work-life balance are non-negotiable.
No routine nights or on-call. Dedicated night team covers 24/7 in-house care. Occasional night shifts available as optional opportunities. Weekend rota 1-in-8 (Saturday and Sunday together).
Wallace Vets is seeking a dedicated RVN to join its thriving three-site independent practice across Dundee and Angus. This is a hands-on clinical nursing position where you'll work across inpatient care, diagnostics, radiography, dental procedures, client education, and clinical decision-making. With only a 1-in-8 weekend rota and no routine nights or on-call duties, you'll enjoy genuine work-life balance while staying clinically engaged.
Whether you're experienced, newly qualified, or soon-to-qualify (finished your NPL and awaiting OSCEs), the practice will support your development. The role offers flexibility to work three, four, or five days per week, tailored to your lifestyle preferences.
Wallace Vets is an independent, family-run practice established in 2004, serving the communities of Broughty Ferry, Carnoustie, and Arbroath. With nearly 60 team members across three sites, the practice has earned BVA Great Workplace Silver Accreditation, reflecting its commitment to teamwork, flexibility, and mutual respect. Led by a clinically active owner-director, decisions are made quickly and ideas are genuinely heard.
The practice is open 7 days a week with 24-hour in-house care provided by a dedicated night team, meaning RVNs benefit from genuine work-life balance without compromising emergency cover. The nursing team is supported by four Head Nurses across the group and a clinical manager focused on development and wellbeing. Team culture emphasises collaboration, community involvement, and social connection, with regular social outings from dog walks and wild swimming groups to team gatherings and charity support.
