🕐 Schedule & Rota

1:4 Saturday morning rota commitment; part-time role negotiable based on availability

About the Role

This is a part-time opportunity working 30 hours per week (including Thursday) with a 1:4 Saturday morning rota commitment. You’ll join a long-established small animal practice that’s recently completed an exciting transformation into brand new, state-of-the-art facilities in Studley, Warwickshire. The practice offers disabled access and on-site parking, making it easily accessible to the local community.

This role is ideal for an experienced vet looking for genuine career development – whether that’s working towards a certificate, mentoring new graduates (which the practice is genuinely passionate about), or simply wanting to work with a supportive team while maintaining an exceptional work-life balance. The team is friendly and dedicated, and they’re open to discussing your rota preferences based on your availability.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide high-quality small animal veterinary care, surgery, and treatment across a range of cases
  • Perform routine procedures and regular health check-ups for dogs, cats, and small pets
  • Utilise the practice’s specialist facilities including digital x-ray, ultrasound, laparoscopy, and dedicated dental suite
  • Work across two theatres with visiting dental and surgery specialists
  • Contribute to the practice’s referral dentistry service for suitable cases
  • Support new graduates through mentoring and clinical supervision as appropriate
  • Participate in the shared Saturday morning rota (1:4 frequency)
  • Collaborate with a dedicated team of experienced veterinary professionals

Requirements

  • 2–3+ years post-graduation experience in small animal practice
  • Registered as a veterinary surgeon with the RCVS
  • Strong clinical knowledge and practical surgical skills
  • Ability to work within a team environment and support colleague development
  • Flexibility to work Thursday as part of part-time schedule and Saturday mornings on rota

Benefits

  • Salary: Up to £60,000 FTE (dependant on experience; enhanced discussion available for certificate holders or Advanced Practitioners)
  • CPD: Generous budget to support your professional development and continuing education
  • Holiday: 25 days annual leave plus one additional day every year (up to five years), with the option to sell or buy up to two weeks extra
  • Professional Support: VDS and RCVS fees covered by the practice
  • Immigration: Full VISA sponsorship available
  • Pension: CVS Group pension scheme
  • Employee Perks: Staff discount, Save As You Earn scheme, and health cash plan
  • Family Support: Excellent maternity, paternity, and joint parental leave plans; fertility and pregnancy loss policy
