About the Role

Calweton Veterinary Group is seeking a compassionate and motivated Registered Veterinary Nurse to join their small animal practice in Cornwall. This is a highly flexible opportunity available on a full-time or part-time basis, with the option to work out-of-hours shifts if that suits you better. The practice prioritises work-life balance and is happy to arrange hours around your family and personal commitments.

You’ll be part of an experienced nursing team of 16, working in a collaborative environment where clinical excellence and client communication go hand in hand. The practice is equipped with laboratory facilities, allowing you to contribute to quick and effective test results.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist veterinarians with consultations, procedures, and surgical cases
  • Provide high-standard inpatient and nursing care
  • Support clients with informed advice, education, and empathetic communication
  • Maintain rigorous clinical and hygiene standards across the practice
  • Conduct laboratory work to deliver timely test results
  • Collaborate effectively within the nursing team to support daily operations

Requirements

  • Qualified and registered with the RCVS as a Veterinary Nurse
  • Strong communication and organisational skills
  • Positive, proactive approach to work
  • Ability to work both independently and as part of a team
  • Genuine commitment to animal welfare and excellent client care
