1:3 branch Saturday morning rota, 1:8 hospital Sunday rotation, one bank holiday per year at Mandeville Hospital. No on-call requirements.

About the Role

This is a fantastic opportunity to join Chalfont St Peter, a thriving first opinion practice in a picturesque village location just outside London. Working on a part-time basis with an average 20.12-hour week, you’ll have genuine flexibility in how your days are structured—whether that’s a shorter Monday and full Wednesday, or full Wednesday and shorter Friday. The schedule includes a 1:3 branch Saturday morning rota and 1:8 hospital Sunday rotation, with one bank holiday per year at the sister hospital. Best of all, there are no on-call requirements.

You’ll always have another experienced vet working alongside you on your scheduled days—this is absolutely not a sole charge role. The practice benefits from a peaceful village setting with rural charm, yet sits just five minutes from Gerrards Cross train station, putting you within 50 minutes of London Liverpool Street for easy access to city life when you want it.

Chalfont St Peter is well-equipped for a busy branch, with three consulting rooms, separate dog and cat wards, ultrasound facilities, and a beautiful garden and decked area for your breaks. You’ll be supported by two long-standing experienced vets, a senior RVN, and a skilled nursing and reception team. When specialist support is needed, the sister Mandeville Veterinary Hospital in Northolt—equipped with CT, advanced ultrasound, scopes, and laparoscopic equipment—provides comprehensive out-of-hours cover.
