1:15 second on-call rota to support the night and weekend team at Brighton Hospital
This is a permanent Veterinary Surgeon role at Coastway Vets in Lewes, with full-time hours available and flexible working considered. The position includes consulting and some routine operations, plus every other Saturday morning at the Lewes branch.
You will be working in sole charge at the branch, supported by 2 RVNs and a receptionist, and you will also take part in a 1:15 second on-call rota to support the night and weekend team at Brighton Hospital. The role offers the autonomy of branch practice alongside the reassurance of wider clinical support.
Coastway Vets is a large, RCVS accredited practice with 5 fully equipped branch practices and a central Brighton hospital. The group also runs the region’s biggest emergency vet service.
The Brighton Hospital team includes 17 day vets, 5 dedicated night vets, multiple certificate holders in ECC, medicine, surgery, cardiology, imaging, exotics and oncology, plus a visiting ophthalmologist every two weeks and an orthopaedic surgeon twice a week. The wider support team includes 24 RVNs, a laboratory technician, stock manager, customer care manager and referral coordinator. Coastway also takes part in local community activity and charity work.
