Registered Veterinary Nurse (RVN)

About the Role

You’ll be at the heart of patient care at this thriving first opinion practice in Burghfield, working alongside a small, compassionate team across two sites. This is a fixed-term maternity cover position lasting 12 months, offering flexibility with full-time or part-time hours available. Your schedule will be a mixture of shifts between 8am–7pm with a manageable 1:6 Saturday rota and no out-of-hours or Sunday work—giving you genuine time to rest and recharge.

Key Responsibilities

• Deliver exceptional nursing care across all aspects of clinical work—from patient monitoring and recovery support to client reassurance
• Assist with surgery and support patient outcomes in collaboration with the veterinary team
• Maintain practice standards and cleanliness to ensure quality of care and optimal patient outcomes
• Use your strong communication skills to build positive relationships with colleagues, clients, and the pets in your care
• Contribute to a welcoming, supportive team culture that puts patient and client care first

Requirements

• Current RCVS registration as a Registered Veterinary Nurse
• Experience and passion for consulting and assisting with surgery
• Strong communication skills, both written and verbal
• A commitment to high standards of patient and client care
