About the Role
This is a remote Data Analyst position on an initial 12 month fixed term contract, supporting business analysis largely within the veterinary practice division. The role focuses on reporting, dashboard management, data requests and turning information into clear, actionable insight for a wide range of stakeholders.
You will also support CVS through reporting transformation, helping move from legacy systems to a more robust and scalable tech stack. Some travel to meetings is mentioned, so while the role is remote, there will be occasional time spent with colleagues in person.
Key Responsibilities
- Work with stakeholders across clinical leadership, finance, marketing and operations to understand data requirements and deliver reporting and insight solutions.
- Develop, maintain and monitor dashboards and reporting solutions.
- Investigate dashboard issues, discrepancies and data quality concerns.
- Respond to business data requests and produce extracts, summaries and reports using tools such as PowerBI and Excel.
- Support stakeholders in understanding standard reporting outputs and interpreting data correctly.
- Carry out data validation, quality assurance checks and documentation in line with reporting governance and KPI definitions.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in a quantitative field such as Statistics, Mathematics, Computer Science, or a related discipline.
- Proven experience working with data, BI reporting and insight analysis in a business environment.
- Working experience of Microsoft PowerBI.
- Experience with SQL and database queries.
- Experience with technical scripting, data querying languages or statistical software such as SQL, Python, R or Spark Notebooks.
- Strong Excel skills.
- Strong attention to detail, accuracy, communication skills and organisational ability.
- Ability to work on own initiative and manage multiple priorities.
- Microsoft Fabric experience is desirable.
