This is an exciting opportunity for a recently qualified or early-career veterinary surgeon to step into out-of-hours emergency work within a multi-disciplinary referral hospital in the North West. You'll work a 7 nights on, 14 nights off rota (alternative patterns may be considered), taking primary responsibility for overnight care of referral inpatients while also managing emergency presentations from the first-opinion out-of-hours service. This unique combination offers exposure to both specialist patient management and acute primary care cases.
You'll join a highly skilled night team supported by experienced RVNs and fellow out-of-hours clinicians. Specialists are available on call for referral cases, providing expert support while allowing you to develop your confidence and decision-making in a genuinely collaborative environment. The role offers opportunities to be involved in advanced medical and surgical procedures and to gain meaningful exposure to specialist-level care.

The hospital houses specialists in Internal Medicine, Cardiology, Neurology, Orthopaedics, Diagnostic Imaging, Dermatology, Soft Tissue Surgery and Anaesthesia, plus an Advanced Practitioner in Ophthalmology.
