Bristol Vet Specialists is seeking an Ophthalmology Specialist to join its growing eye care service. This flexible position is open to full-time or part-time candidates working 3 or 4 days a week. You'll work alongside three senior ophthalmologists, an ECVO resident, and two discipline-specific registered veterinary nurses, with rotating interns providing additional support.
The service operates from a dedicated consultation room and allocated theatre, delivering comprehensive eye care from adnexal procedures through to advanced intraocular surgery. You'll also contribute to a satellite ophthalmology service at two additional centres on a monthly basis, strengthening relationships with referring primary care practices.
Bristol Vet Specialists (BVS) is a modern, specialist-led referral-only hospital located on the outskirts of Bristol near the M5. The hospital features a brand-new, purpose-built facility with 11 canine consultation rooms, a separate feline centre, MRI, CT scanner, 5 theatres, and ICU. It is the only veterinary hospital in the Southwest equipped with a linear accelerator.
