About the Role

De Montfort Veterinary Hospital is seeking an experienced Veterinary Surgeon to join their team in Evesham, a picturesque market town on the border of the Cotswolds. This is a full-time position working 40 hours over 4 days per week, with Saturday mornings on a 1:4 rota (08:30-13:00). Crucially, there are no out-of-hours or on-call commitments, giving you genuine work-life balance. The practice is open to discussing part-time arrangements with the right candidate.

You'll work with a cohesive team of 4 FTE vets, 8 FTE RVNs, and 1 SVN in a newly refurbished hospital equipped with modern technology. The clinical team brings diverse expertise including medicine, dentistry, emergency and critical care, surgery, feline nursing, and behavioural work. Whether you have a surgical or medical bias, the practice provides the environment and equipment to help you excel.

Evesham is surrounded by stunning countryside, with direct access to the Cotswolds, yet only 30 minutes from Cheltenham and Worcester. London is reachable in 90 minutes by rail, making it ideal for anyone seeking a blend of rural charm and accessibility.

• Deliver high-quality patient and client care across a varied and rewarding small animal caseload
• Collaborate with the wider clinical team to maintain the practice's high standards of care
• Continue developing your clinical skills and interests whilst sharing knowledge and experience with colleagues
• Contribute positively to the practice's clinical culture and support the development of team members
• Work as an integral member of the clinical team, bringing clinical expertise to routine medical and surgical cases

Requirements

• Veterinary degree and RCVS registration (or eligibility to register)
• Experience working in clinical practice with growing confidence in routine medical and surgical cases
• Strong communication skills and ability to build effective relationships with clients and colleagues
• Proactive approach to learning, openness to feedback, and commitment to professional development
• Professionalism, reliability, and ability to work both independently and collaboratively
