Lead clinical strategy at a genuinely independent practice with a 4-day week, zero out-of-hours, and a collaborative team that values your ideas. Ready to mentor colleagues and shape the future without sacrificing work-life balance?
This is a clinical leadership position at Dunslow Road Veterinary Surgery, an independent small animal practice based on the Yorkshire coast. You'll work a sustainable 4-day week (8:00-17:00 or 9:00-18:00) with just one Saturday morning in five and absolutely no out-of-hours duties. It's a rare opportunity to step into genuine clinical leadership while protecting your personal time.
You'll guide clinical direction and standards across the practice, mentor colleagues at different career stages, and continue to enjoy a varied and rewarding clinical caseload. The team values collaborative decision-making and actively encourages case discussion and continuous improvement. Your role combines hands-on clinical work with meaningful leadership influence.

They are a genuinely close-knit team where collaboration comes naturally, clinical discussion is encouraged, and support extends well beyond the consulting room.
The veterinary team includes vets with interests in surgery, small furries, imaging, and exotics. The practice is well-equipped with digital radiography, Adaptix 3D imaging, ultrasound, iM3 dental unit, and IDEXX in-house laboratory including SediVue and InVue microscopy. Two experienced Head Nurses share their leadership role, supported by a skilled nursing and reception team. The practice benefits from visiting orthopaedic and ultrasound specialists and strong relationships with local referral hospitals.
