Edhen Vets is looking for an experienced vet to join its friendly and supportive small animal team in Truro. This is a varied role with the chance to develop your own clinical interests while helping shape the future of a growing independent practice.
The practice places a strong emphasis on work life balance and offers individually tailored rotas. Full time or part time hours are considered, along with half days and other arrangements. The out of hours rota is shared, with the team able to choose between whole or split weekends. On call duties are optional and paid, and most colleagues commit to one night per week.
Edhen Vets is an independent small animal practice founded in Truro in 2021, with a second clinic opening in Newquay in 2023. The team includes 7 vets, 7 RVNs, 3 SVNs, and client care advisors, and the clinicians bring between 5 and 10 years of experience. The practice also works with visiting specialists, including a cardiologist and an Advanced Practitioner in small animal surgery, which allows many advanced cases to stay in house.
Facilities include DR X ray, ultrasound, a comprehensive in house laboratory, laparoscopy, DR dental X ray, endoscopy, and bronchoscopy. Edhen Vets is the only practice in the South West to hold Flexee accreditation, and it is also known for its regular social events, healthy snack boxes, and support for animal charities through the Edhen Welfare Foundation.
