Ready to lead a thriving first opinion practice in North London? This is your chance to take the helm at a high-caseload branch with a genuinely supportive team behind you.
1:4 branch Saturday morning rota, 1:8 hospital Sunday rotation, up to 2 bank holidays per year at Wanstead Hospital, last-resort on-call rotation (rarely used, emergencies only)
Tottenham is one of Goddard's original sites, located in North London next to the River Lea. This is a sole charge position with a perfectly manageable caseload for a confident GP vet. You will balance morning consultations, routine surgeries, admin, and evening consults across a 4-day week (Monday to Thursday, with an early finish on Thursday). The role includes a 1:4 branch Saturday morning rota and a 1:8 hospital Sunday rotation, plus up to 2 bank holidays per year at Wanstead Hospital. There is also a last-resort on-call rotation, though this is rarely used and reserved for emergencies only.
You will be fully supported by an experienced regional manager and regional head vet. The practice has a bonded client base and high caseload, making this ideal for either an experienced vet or someone ready for a genuine challenge. If this is your first sole charge position, leadership training will be provided. The location offers easy access to central London via Bruce Grove or Tottenham Hale stations, and is within reach of Epping Forest and Essex villages for a quieter escape.
Wanstead 24-hour hospital backs the branch, providing referral support and OOH emergency cover for your patients.
Goddard Veterinary Group celebrated its 70th anniversary in 2022 and now operates 46 branches, three hospitals, and its own nurse training college. The group is part of the VetPartners family. Tottenham is one of their original sites with an incredible support team, including an experienced senior nurse, all trained at the branch. The practice is RCVS accredited.
Goddard values colleagues highly, with a forward-looking culture that includes a Colleague Forum, monthly town hall meetings with the board, and mental health first aid training for senior managers. Wellness plans are offered to all new starters, and the organisation operates a collaborative decision-making approach with live Q&As and staff polling on strategic matters.
