About the Role

Hall Place Veterinary Centre is recruiting two Registered Veterinary Nurses to join its clinical team in Pinkneys Green—one full-time and one part-time position available. You’ll work primarily at the main practice, with occasional shifts covering the Marlow and Bourne End branch sites. This is a weekend-inclusive role with Saturday rota cover only; no Sunday or out-of-hours work is required, offering genuine work-life balance in a primary care setting.

The practice occupies a purpose-built barn nestled in the Berkshire countryside, providing a calm, modern workspace. You’ll have access to a dedicated laboratory, dental suite, ultrasound room, separate kennel and cattery facilities, isolation kennels, and nurse consultation rooms—all air-conditioned for comfort. The team prides itself on delivering excellent patient care and supporting one another, creating an environment where you can develop your skills with confidence.

Key Responsibilities

  • Deliver high-quality nursing care across a range of first opinion small animal cases, from routine to surgical
  • Manage theatre and anaesthesia, including laparoscopic speys and orthopaedic surgery assistance
  • Conduct radiography and dentistry procedures independently
  • Provide in-patient and post-operative patient care
  • Deliver nurse-led consultation clinics
  • Support clinical standards and contribute to ongoing improvements in patient care
  • Collaborate with veterinary surgeons and the wider practice team

Requirements

  • Registration as a Veterinary Nurse with the RCVS
  • Experience working in clinical practice with growing confidence in medical and surgical nursing
  • Strong communication skills and ability to build positive relationships with clients and colleagues
  • Good organisational skills and effective workload management
  • Proactive approach to learning, reflection, and continuous professional improvement

Hours & Schedule

  • Full-time: 40 hours per week, flexible across a 4- or 5-day week
  • Part-time: 16 hours per week over two 8-hour shifts
  • Shared weekend rota: Saturdays only
  • No Sundays or out-of-hours work
