A four-day week, no routine out-of-hours and a salary of £45,000 to £70,000 make this a well-balanced small animal vet role in independent practice. You'll be joining a close-knit team in Uckfield, with occasional cover at Heathfield.
No routine out-of-hours. Out-of-hours provided by Vets Now in Tunbridge Wells and Eastbourne.
This is a full-time Small Animal Veterinary Surgeon position with Henley House Veterinary Clinic, based mainly at the Uckfield clinic and with occasional cover at the single-vet branch in Heathfield. The rota includes a four-day week from 8.30am to 7.00pm, up to one in five Saturday mornings from 8.30am to 12.00pm, no Sundays and no routine out-of-hours.
The role suits a vet with some experience in small animal practice who enjoys working cases through properly and being part of a supportive, independent team. There is particular interest in someone who can bring or develop skills in internal medicine and or diagnostic imaging, while continuing to shape their own clinical interests.
Henley House Veterinary Clinic is a proudly independent small animal practice with six vets, based in Uckfield, East Sussex, and supported by a second branch in Heathfield. The team includes vets, RVNs and support staff, with clinical interests across general practice, emergency care and surgery.
The Uckfield clinic has been extensively developed and is Grade II listed, with a purpose-built extension that includes two operating theatres, separate cat and dog wards, a full in-house IDEXX laboratory and a spacious staff room. Other facilities include DR and dental radiography, endoscopy, K-Laser therapy and high-quality ultrasound at both clinics, with space set aside for a future CT scanner.
