🕐 Schedule & Rota

No out-of-hours duties associated with this role.

About the Role

You’ll join Holmefield Veterinary Clinic for a rewarding 10-month fixed-term contract covering maternity leave. This is a part-time position working 30 hours per week with shifts scheduled Tuesday through Friday (8:30am–2:00pm, 8:30am–7:00pm, 8:30am–6:00pm, and 8:30am–2:00pm respectively), and crucially, there are no out-of-hours duties attached to this role.

The nursing work spans a genuine mix of nurse consultations, inpatient care, theatre work, anaesthesia, and support with surgical and medical cases. The exact balance of duties and rota pattern can be tailored around your interests and experience, so you won’t be pigeonholed into one area. You’ll work closely alongside experienced veterinary surgeons and benefit from outstanding nursing support across the practice.

Based in the semi-rural beauty of North Yorkshire near Selby, you’ll work in recently extended and upgraded premises with modern facilities and a light, airy environment. Regular direct trains connect you to London, Manchester, and Leeds, with York just 20 minutes away—excellent lifestyle balance without isolation.
