About the Role
This is a home-based, fixed-term 12-month contract role offering the opportunity to support the Area Director and multiple veterinary practices across Greater Manchester, Staffordshire and Cheshire. You'll be the go-to person for troubleshooting and hands-on support, working 40 hours per week with practice visits 3 to 4 days each week. This role sits within Central Functions, part of the teams supporting inspiring vet care's network of over 2,500 practices across 20 countries.
You'll play a key role in ensuring teams feel supported and connected, helping create environments where colleagues thrive, leaders feel empowered, and practices deliver excellent care. Your work will directly impact colleague engagement, practice performance and overall business success.
Key Responsibilities
- Build and maintain close working relationships with practice leaders, serving as the primary point of contact for area support and troubleshooting
- Maintain regular contact with practices to ensure teams feel supported and connected to the wider inspiring vet care network
- Support practices through change initiatives, including rollout of the unified brand and CMA remedies
- Work with the Area Director to identify improvements to working practices that enhance team wellbeing and boost efficiency and client experience
- Organise area meetings and manage administrative aspects including agendas, materials, minutes and action point tracking
- Support practices in using dashboards and reporting suites to identify performance trends, areas of underperformance and growth opportunities
- Provide targeted support to underperforming sites and help identify needs for business plan changes
- Ensure all practices are following leadership and performance frameworks
- Provide general administration support for the area including financial admin, HR and recruitment support, performance management and health and safety audits
Requirements
- At least 2 years of coaching and mentoring experience with proven mentoring skills
- Ability to motivate, support and inspire leaders and senior colleagues to embrace change
- Strong understanding of key financial KPIs and ability to identify and support implementation of improvement actions
- Excellent people skills with ability to bring together diverse teams across multiple sites
- Strong influencing and collaboration skills alongside willingness to challenge the status quo
- Full and valid UK driving licence (essential)
- Broad healthcare knowledge would be beneficial but is not essential
- Commitment to supporting colleagues, practices and business performance
