Step into Emergency and Critical Care through an 8-week Cutting Edge training programme, with structured support, mentorship and a rota designed around work-life balance. After training, you can move into a full-time permanent ECC role on a clinic rota that suits your lifestyle.
Night work is included, with no more than three nights in a row and an average of three shifts per week.
This ECC Veterinary Surgeon opportunity is built around the Cutting Edge programme, an 8-week training route into emergency and critical care. You will receive 250 hours of CPD, hands-on clinic experience, interactive seminars and practical sessions, plus personalised clinical mentorship to support your move into ECC.
Once training is complete, you will join an ECC clinic of your choice on a full-time, permanent basis. The rota is designed to support wellbeing as well as development, with working hours between 30 and 40 per week, no more than three nights in a row, and an average of three shifts per week.
This role is being offered through inspiring vet care, with opportunities across a wide network of ECC clinics in the UK. The programme is presented as part of Vets Now's emergency pet care offering, with the aim of supporting the next generation of veterinary surgeons.
Each clinic can accommodate only one Cutting Edge veterinarian, and applications are reviewed on a first-come, first-served basis. The next intake is 1st March 2027.
