Market Veterinary Centre is recruiting a Registered Veterinary Nurse to join their clinical team on a full-time basis. Based in Barnstaple, North Devon, this friendly two-site mixed practice sits just a short drive from Exmoor and the stunning North Devon beaches. You'll work 37.5 hours per week with shifts between 8:00am and 6:15pm, including one in six Saturdays and participation in the inpatient rota three times every six weeks. The role also includes being part of the second on-call rota from 6:00pm to 7:00pm approximately once every one to two months.
The practice boasts modern, well-equipped facilities and a diverse range of clinical interests among the team, including exotics and orthopaedics. You'll have access to an in-house diagnostic laboratory, digital x-ray, ultrasound, endoscopy, bronchoscopy, dental radiography, and therapeutic laser for nurse-led clinics. The team comprises 14 vets, 12 nurses, 3 student nurses, and 11 admin staff, with many colleagues holding certificates in their chosen specialisms.
