This is a full-time Head Equine Veterinary Nurse position at Wendover Park Equine Vets, a dedicated equine facility serving the South East. Working 40 hours per week across 5 days with variable 8-hour shifts between 8:00am and 7:00pm, you'll be a key clinical leader managing nursing care, inpatient oversight, and team coordination. Occasional overnight inpatient care and out-of-hours rota participation are part of the role, though additional retainer payments are available for unsocial hours.
The practice benefits from excellent onsite facilities including an equine theatre, treatment room, stabling, paddocks, lunge areas, and comprehensive diagnostic equipment such as x-ray, ultrasound, endoscopy and dental tools. You'll work alongside experienced in-house vets and visiting specialists, gaining exposure to a varied caseload ranging from pony club ponies and leisure horses to competition animals and the occasional donkey. Sharing facilities with established small animal practices creates a supportive team atmosphere with plenty of colleagues for clinical discussion and support.
