This is a part-time senior veterinary position working 28 hours per week across Monday, Tuesday, and Friday (8:30am to 6:30pm), with flexibility on days and hours available. You'll also cover one in eight Saturdays (8:30am to 4:30pm). The practice uses Vets Now for out-of-hours emergency cover, so you won't be on-call overnight.
You'll join a well-established small animal practice based in Oswestry, Shropshire, near the Welsh border. The team includes a Clinical Director, six vets working varied hours, and two Head Nurses. The practice benefits from two operating theatres, a modern imaging suite with ultrasound and X-ray, and a dental procedures room with dental X-ray. You'll work with a broad caseload of medical and surgical cases, including basic orthopaedics such as lateral suture repairs, MMP cruciate repairs, and patella luxation procedures. There's also a large garden behind the practice, perfect for lunch breaks or exercising inpatients.
