This is a varied Veterinary Surgeon position in a 24-hour, RCVS-accredited small animal hospital in Basildon. The rota is built around a 4-day week, 1 in 4 weekends and a 40-hour week, with no out-of-hours duties and a minimal on-call rota of around 3 to 4 times a year.
The practice is open to part-time applicants, as long as the 1 in 4 weekend requirement can still be covered. Alongside first opinion work, you'll be involved in a broad caseload that includes emergency and critical care, orthopaedics, ophthalmology, CT and MRI imaging, hydrotherapy, physiotherapy and laser therapy.
It's a setting suited to an experienced all-round vet, and there is also scope for an exotic bias or ophthalmology bias if that is where your interests lie.
