Registered Veterinary Nurse

About the Role

Ashton Vets for Pets is seeking a Registered Veterinary Nurse who enjoys theatre work, watching anaesthetics, assisting with surgeries and helping surgery days run smoothly. The role is full time, 40 hours per week, with 1 in 4 Saturdays and time off in lieu.

The current shifts are 8.30am to 4.30pm and 11am to 7pm, with the option to work 4 long days instead if preferred. There is no OOH or overnight inpatient checks.

Key Responsibilities

• Support theatre work, including assisting with surgeries and monitoring anaesthetics.
• Help ensure surgery days run smoothly.
• Provide general nursing support and strong customer service to clients.
• Work collaboratively with the nursing and front-of-house teams at Ashton Vets for Pets.

Requirements

• Good general nursing experience.
• Great customer service skills.
• Cheerful, down-to-earth and enthusiastic approach.
• Genuine interest in animal welfare.
