Veterinary Receptionist

About the Role

Wards Vets is looking for an organised, personable Receptionist to be the first point of contact for clients and their pets. This is a part-time permanent role based in Elgin, with hours of Monday to Friday, 1.30pm to 6.30pm, plus the occasional Saturday morning.

You’ll help keep the practice running smoothly while giving clients a welcoming, professional and compassionate experience at every interaction. The practice cares for companion pets including cats, dogs, rabbits and other small furries, and it is based close to beaches, mountains and dog walking areas.

Key Responsibilities

• Greet clients and their pets in a friendly, professional manner.
• Answer telephone calls and respond to enquiries.
• Book and manage appointments.
• Process payments and maintain accurate records.
• Support the veterinary team with general administrative duties.
• Keep the reception area clean, organised and welcoming.

About the Practice

Wards Vets is an RCVS accredited small animal practice in Elgin, Moray. It has been a Veterinary Nurse Training Practice for many years and provides care for companion animals including cats, dogs, rabbits and other small furries.

The practice also offers X-ray, ultrasound, a dental X-ray machine and in-house laboratory equipment. It is also described as a gold standard ISFM cat friendly practice.
