This is a primary care veterinary surgeon position at Paxton Vets, a well-established small animal practice with two sites in South Norwood. You'll work collaboratively with the wider team to deliver high-quality patient and client care across a varied caseload. With flexibility built in, you can opt for full-time, part-time, or flexible working arrangements, choosing from daytime-only shifts (8:30 to 5pm, 10am to 6:30pm, or 11am to 7:30pm on alternating weeks) or a four-day week (8:30am to 7pm or 9am to 7:30pm). Saturday cover is shared on a 1-in-7 rota with time off in lieu, so you're never on a heavy weekend schedule.
Both sites are excellently equipped with ultrasound, digital and dental x-ray, well-stocked laboratories, and high-standard inpatient facilities. The practice has built strong, lasting relationships with its local client base over more than 60 years, and you'll contribute to that continuity of care while supporting local charities and deepening community ties.
You'll continue to develop your clinical skills and interests, sharing knowledge with colleagues and contributing positively to the practice's clinical culture. As an integral member of the team, you'll be supported to grow while helping colleagues develop alongside you.
