About the Role
You’ll join Virginia Water Vets, a community focused small animal practice in a picturesque Surrey village. The role includes a varied mix of consults and surgery, with the chance to follow cases from start to finish. The practice is known locally for dentistry and ophthalmology, and you’ll have access to visiting specialists as well as support from nearby IVC practices.
The rota includes no OOH, a Saturday rota from 8:30am to 12:30pm, and Friday afternoon off in lieu. Flexible hours are also available to suit your lifestyle.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver high quality patient and client care across a varied small animal caseload
- Work collaboratively with the wider practice team
- Manage a healthy mix of consults and surgery
- Follow cases through from start to finish
- Contribute to the clinical culture of the practice
- Support colleagues by sharing knowledge and experience
- Help develop clinical standards alongside visiting specialists and nearby IVC practice support
Requirements
- Veterinary degree and RCVS registration, or eligibility to register
- Experience in clinical practice
- Growing confidence in routine medical and surgical cases
- Strong communication skills
- Ability to build effective relationships with clients and colleagues
- Proactive approach to learning and development
- Professionalism, reliability, and the ability to work independently and collaboratively
- Passion for excellent patient and client care

About the Practice
Virginia Water Veterinary Clinic is described as a well established practice serving Virginia Water, Egham, Staines, Chertsey, and the surrounding towns and villages. The clinic says it mainly treats dogs, cats, rabbits, and smaller pets, and is also prepared to address medical and husbandry issues in cage birds, reptiles, amphibians, and both warm and cold water fish, including Koi carp.
