Farm Office Administrator

About the Role

You'll be the organisational heartbeat of Delaware Vets, a busy farm animal practice in Castle Cary. Working 39.75 hours per week (Monday to Friday 8.30am-5.00pm, plus 2 Saturday mornings per month), you'll manage veterinary schedules, farmer enquiries, and practice administration for a team of 7 large animal vets and 7 technicians. This is a full-time position where your attention to detail and customer focus directly impact the quality of care delivered to the farming community.

You'll thrive in a collaborative, values-led environment where support and wellbeing matter. An understanding of the farming and dairy industry is beneficial, and your proactive approach to problem-solving will help coordinate visits and ensure timely veterinary delivery across the region.

Key Responsibilities

• Handle farmer enquiries, schedule veterinary visits, and manage vet diaries to coordinate care across the large animal team
• Process medication orders, dispense authorised drugs, take client payments, raise invoices, and manage direct debits
• Coordinate TB testing programmes, maintain detailed records, support regulatory audits, and arrange laboratory samples and courier collections
• Maintain accurate spreadsheets, databases, digital systems, shared inboxes, and export documentation
• Support daily practice operations including student inductions, team meetings, and office organisation
