Registered Veterinary Nurse

About the Role

This Registered Veterinary Nurse position is based at Rowe Veterinary Group, Bradley Stoke, where you'll be part of a busy 24 hour veterinary hospital and referral centre. The role offers a varied caseload across first opinion and referral services, with surgical, medical, inpatient, emergency and critical care cases all part of the week.

You'll be joining a highly skilled team of vets, nurses and clinical support colleagues, working together to deliver patient and client care in a fast paced and supportive environment. The working pattern is 40 hours per week, spread across 4 or 5 days on a rota basis, with a 1:6 weekend rota and night backup on a 1:12 basis.

Key Responsibilities

• Deliver nursing care across a varied hospital caseload.
• Support surgical and medical cases, including anaesthesia monitoring and patient care.
• Provide inpatient, emergency and critical care nursing.
• Work collaboratively with veterinary surgeons and the wider practice team.
• Contribute to patient flow and continuity of care across multiple departments.

Requirements

• Registered as a Veterinary Nurse with the RCVS.
• Experience working in clinical practice.
• Growing confidence in medical and surgical nursing.
• Strong communication skills and the ability to build positive relationships with clients and colleagues.
• Good organisational skills and the ability to manage workload effectively.
• A proactive approach to learning, reflection and continuous improvement.
