Registered Veterinary Nurse

About the Role

Beaumont Vets is looking for an enthusiastic, team-focused Registered Veterinary Nurse to join the practice on a full-time basis, with part-time applications also welcomed. The role is built around 40 hours per week, working 3 or 4 days, with Saturday mornings on a 1:5 rota from 8:00 to 13:00 and no out-of-hours requirement.

You will be part of a well-established small animal practice in Pinhoe, Exeter, where the caseload includes dogs, cats and small pets. The practice is Cat Friendly Clinic accredited, holds a 4.7 Google rating, and offers on-site parking with easy access to Exeter city centre.

Key Responsibilities

• Work across surgical, medical and nurse clinic duties.
• Provide inpatient care as part of the clinical team.
• Support the nursing care of first opinion cases.
• Work closely with veterinary surgeons and the wider practice team.
• Contribute to clinical standards and ongoing patient care.

Requirements

• RCVS registration as a Veterinary Nurse.
• Ideally 2 or more years post-qualification experience.
• Clinical practice experience with growing confidence in medical and surgical nursing.
• Strong communication skills.
• Good organisational skills and the ability to manage workload effectively.
• A proactive approach to learning, reflection and continuous improvement.

About the Practice

Beaumont Veterinary Centre is a well-established small animal practice in Pinhoe, Exeter, operating within IVC Evidensia. The practice is equipped with ultrasound, digital x-ray, endoscopy, dental x-ray and an in-house laboratory, supporting a broad range of first opinion clinical work.
