1-in-4 Saturday morning rota; no out-of-hours or Sunday requirements
This full-time position offers varied nursing work across all aspects of general small animal practice. You'll join a team of 6 veterinary surgeons and multiple registered veterinary nurses at Midland Vets, a long-established RCVS-accredited practice in Leyton. The role is structured around daytime hours only: 40 hours per week, Monday to Friday with shifts between 7:45am and 7:30pm, plus a manageable 1-in-4 Saturday morning rota. No out-of-hours or Sunday work is required.
The practice is well-equipped with a laboratory suite, theatre, radiography facilities, dental x-ray, and three consulting rooms, enabling you to support everything from routine consultations to complex procedures. You'll have opportunities to develop clinical skills further with support for CPD, certificates, and training in schedule 3 procedures. The wider team includes care assistants, a reception team, practice manager, and visiting specialists, creating a collaborative environment where clinical standards are a priority.
Midland Veterinary Surgery has served the Leyton and surrounding areas since 1974. The practice was established in its current form in 2001 and has built a strong reputation for delivering high-quality first opinion small animal care within the local community. It became an RCVS-accredited practice in 2008 and has operated as a Veterinary Nurse Training Practice for many years. The building, a converted former drinking house, was extensively renovated in recent years. The practice is part of IVC Evidensia, the UK and Europe's leading veterinary care group comprising over 900 practices and referral hospitals.
IVC Evidensia is committed to supporting careers without limits, with investment in learning, innovation, and wellbeing to help teams grow in confidence, capability, and fulfilment at every career stage.
