No out-of-hours on-call. Saturday mornings 1:4 rota (8 am to 2 pm), with a view to change to 1:5.
This full-time position offers a refreshing work pattern: 40 hours spread across four days, 7:30 am to 8 pm, plus 1:4 Saturday mornings (8 am to 2 pm, with a view to move to 1:5). Importantly, there is no out-of-hours on-call commitment. You'll be joining Thanet Vets, a long-established practice serving Margate and the Southeast coast since before 1965, with a satellite branch in Birchington.
The practice is well-equipped with digital radiography, ultrasound, in-house laboratory, endoscopy, and bronchoscopy. You'll be part of a close-knit clinical team of 5.5 vets and 7 RVNs (with a student nurse joining soon), plus 7.5 support staff. Your colleagues include certificate holders in Anaesthesia and Analgesia, and team members pursuing further qualifications in diagnostic imaging, soft tissue surgery, and ophthalmology. Whether you're newly qualified or bringing prior experience, you'll work collaboratively with veterinary surgeons and support staff to deliver high-quality first-opinion care, contribute to clinical standards, and grow within a values-led environment focused on care and continuous improvement.
