This permanent Veterinary Surgeon role is based at Chipping Norton Veterinary Hospital and is open to full time, part time or flexible working. A typical full time pattern is 40 hours a week across four days, with shifts from 08:30 to 19:00.
The rota also includes 1:3 Saturday shifts from 08:30 to 14:00 and a shared 1:10 on-call rota. You will be joining a team where the caseload covers consultations, operations and diagnostics, with scope to develop your surgical interests alongside experienced colleagues.
Chipping Norton Veterinary Hospital is an RCVS-accredited tier 3 veterinary hospital on the edge of a Cotswold market town. It is purpose built and well equipped, with full lab facilities, DR x-ray, dental x-ray, a 64-slice CT scanner, flexible and rigid endoscopes, ultrasound with colour Doppler, full orthopaedic kit, slit lamp and tonometer.
The clinical team includes 14 Veterinary Surgeons, 20 Registered Veterinary Nurses, 3 Student Registered Nurses and 6 Animal Nursing Assistants. The hospital also has a Specialist in Zoo and Wildlife Medicine, Advanced Practitioners in Small Animal Medicine and ECC, plus regular visiting support from a referral dermatologist and a Veterinary Specialist Surgeon.
