Veterinary Receptionist

About the Role

This is a part-time, permanent Veterinary Receptionist position at Crossroads Vets in High Wycombe. The working pattern is 15 hours per week, permanently on Fridays, with flexibility across the rest of the week and occasional overtime.

You’ll be the first point of contact for clients, helping to create a welcoming, professional and compassionate experience at every interaction. The role sits within a supportive practice team and is focused on keeping client care and day-to-day operations running smoothly.

Key Responsibilities

• Greet clients and their pets and help maintain a friendly, professional reception area.
• Schedule appointments and manage the clinic calendar efficiently.
• Answer calls and respond to enquiries about services, treatments and general pet care information.
• Maintain accurate patient records, including medical histories and laboratory results.
• Process payments and handle billing enquiries carefully.
• Support client communications and follow-ups during busy periods.
