This is a full-time referral surgery position at Moorview Referrals, a leading multidisciplinary hospital serving the North East. You'll manage a varied and rewarding surgical caseload, performing soft tissue and orthopaedic procedures in a busy referral setting. The role is structured across four days per week with a regular day off to support work-life balance, plus participation in a 1:5 weekend surgical rota with time off in lieu. Moorview Referrals is a highly experienced multidisciplinary referral hospital serving patients across the North East, part of IVC Evidensia. The surgery department consists of six Advanced Practitioner surgeons, supported by a dedicated team of surgical nurses, including several certificate and diploma holders. Alongside surgery, the hospital has experienced teams in Internal Medicine, Cardiology and Emergency and Critical Care, supported by an ultrasonographer, radiographer and residency-trained cardiologist.
The hospital provides specialist referral services in soft tissue surgery (including laparoscopy and thoracoscopy), orthopaedics (including total hip replacements), neurology and neurosurgery, internal medicine, oncology, cardiology and emergency and critical care. Advanced facilities include 1.5T MRI, 160-slice Canon CT, fluoroscopy, arthroscopy, flexible and rigid endoscopy, digital radiography and comprehensive in-house laboratory facilities.
