Veterinary Surgeon - Small Animal

About the Role

Join a modern, well-equipped small animal practice in Chatham where realistic workloads and genuine flexibility are part of daily life. This full-time or part-time role offers no out-of-hours commitment and only 1 in 3 Saturday mornings, with flexible working hours between 8am and 7:30pm. You'll enjoy a varied and rewarding caseload spanning orthopaedics, soft tissue surgery, cardiology, and diagnostic imaging, with direct support from a visiting cardiologist and an imaging certificate holder based nearby at the Dartford practice.

Located conveniently off the M20 and commutable from London in under an hour, Easipetcare Chatham is a deceptively spacious practice with 4 consult rooms, separate patient wards, a dedicated X-ray and ultrasound room, and a large modern theatre. You'll work with a stable and loyal client base, allowing for continuity of care and sensible case management.

Key Responsibilities

• Deliver high standard patient and client care across a varied medical and surgical caseload
• Work collaboratively with the wider practice team to support clinical excellence
• Continue developing your clinical skills and interests, particularly in orthopaedics and advanced soft tissue surgery
• Share knowledge and experience with colleagues, contributing positively to the clinical culture
• Lead and support team members while maintaining your own high standards of care

Requirements

• Veterinary degree and RCVS registration (or eligibility to register)
• Experience working in clinical practice with growing confidence in routine medical and surgical cases
• Strong communication skills and ability to build effective relationships with clients and colleagues
• Proactive approach to learning, with openness to feedback and development
• Professionalism, reliability, and ability to work both independently and collaboratively
• Passion for delivering excellent patient and client care
