Veterinary Surgeon - Small Animal

About the Role

You'll be joining Northdale Veterinary Practice, a well-established three-branch small animal operation in Worthing on the beautiful Sussex coast. This role offers a balanced mix of consulting, surgery, and procedures with genuine work-life balance and no out-of-hours commitments. You'll develop clinical confidence in a supportive environment where progression happens at your own pace, working with a collaborative team of 6 other vets and 9 nurses across the branches.

Your schedule includes one Saturday rota per month (8am-2pm only) and flexible weekday hours between 8am and 7pm with a mix of early and late starts. The practice provides good staff facilities including a large restroom and kitchen, and you'll work across a wide mix of routine and surgical cases typical of established general practice.

Key Responsibilities

• Deliver high-standard patient and client care across a varied general practice caseload
• Work collaboratively with the clinical team, including 6 other vets and 9 nurses
• Conduct routine and surgical consultations and procedures across three branch locations
• Continue developing clinical skills and interests while supporting colleague development
• Contribute positively to the clinical culture of the practice through mentoring and knowledge-sharing

Requirements

• Veterinary degree and registration (or eligibility to register) with the RCVS
• Experience working in clinical practice with growing confidence in routine medical and surgical cases
• Strong communication skills and ability to build effective relationships with clients and colleagues
• Proactive approach to learning with openness to feedback and development
• Professionalism, reliability, and ability to work both independently and collaboratively
• Passion for delivering excellent patient and client care
