You will be joining Southern Counties Veterinary Specialists as a Wards Nurse on a 12 month fixed-term contract to cover maternity leave. The role is based in a specialist-led small animal hospital in Ringwood and focuses on the ongoing care of hospitalised medical and surgical inpatients.
This is a hands-on inpatient nursing role with a varied and challenging caseload. You will work closely with the wards team and the wider veterinary team, supporting patients across two dog wards, a high-dependency unit and a separate cat ward. The hospital also has an anaesthesia team available around the clock for out-of-hours emergency procedures, along with specialists on call for each discipline when needed.
Southern Counties Veterinary Specialists is a specialist-led small animal hospital in Ringwood, South East. The site has recently expanded and now includes a purpose-built theatre complex, a two-storey facility with a large client reception and waiting area, 10 consulting rooms and a rehabilitation centre.
Further additions are planned, including a new diagnostic suite and ICU area. The hospital has recognised specialists across multiple disciplines, a dedicated rehabilitation team providing physiotherapy and hydrotherapy, an advanced nursing team and veterinary care assistants.
