Weekend rota participation is mentioned, but no overnight or on-call out of hours rota is stated.
Mercer & Hughes Veterinary Surgeons is looking for an experienced Veterinary Surgeon with a strong interest in small animal surgery to join the team in Saffron Walden. This is a surgery focused role, but not surgery exclusive, so you’ll still spend time consulting, working up cases and managing your own clinical work.
The position offers a four day working week, with three days based at Saffron Walden Hospital and one day at Great Dunmow. You’ll also take part in the weekend rota. The role combines the variety of first opinion practice with hospital level cases, alongside the chance to build surgical experience in a supportive environment.
Mercer & Hughes has over 40 years of heritage and a trusted reputation across Essex. As part of Kin Vet Community, the practice also benefits from shared expertise and a collaborative approach while retaining its own culture and way of working.
