This is a full-time permanent role across the Nantwich and Wistaston branches, with flexibility to work between 20-36 hours per week if preferred. You'll work in a modern, well-equipped practice with a collaborative team of 11 vets, most of whom work part-time on flexible rotas. Every shift offers a genuine blend of consulting and surgical work, with 15-minute consultation slots and built-in catch-up time to prevent running over, discuss cases with colleagues, or handle admin without rushing.
Nantwich is a charming market town with excellent transport links to the M6, Crewe railway station, and easy access to the Peak District, Lake District, North Wales, and London. Wistaston is just minutes away by car. The practice actively welcomes candidates with a special interest in ophthalmology, as they've recently invested in specialist equipment including a slit lamp, tonometer, and operating microscope.
Out-of-hours duties are shared evenly and kept minimal: evenings 6:30 pm to 9 pm and weekends 8 am to 5 pm only. The team gathers together every three months for meals and clinical discussion, fostering a genuine sense of community and peer learning.
